Mattia Binotto is a Swiss-born Italian motorsport engineer who joined Scuderia Ferrari in 1995 as an engine test engineer, rising through roles including Head of the Engine Department (2013) and Chief Technical Officer (2016) before becoming Ferrari Team Principal in 2019, a role he held until his resignation at end of 2022. After a sabbatical in 2023, he joined Sauber Motorsport on 1 August 2024 as COO and CTO to lead the team's transformation into Audi's works F1 entry. Following the departure of Jonathan Wheatley on 20 March 2026, Binotto assumed the Team Principal role in addition to his project leadership duties, and on 24 April 2026 his title was formally confirmed as CEO and Team Principal of the Audi Revolut F1 Team.
