Williams unveils 1981 Jarama-inspired livery for Madring
Williams will run a one-off livery on the cars of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix at Madring. The design draws directly from the team's 1981 FW07C championship-winning car that last raced in Madrid at Jarama.

Williams has unveiled a special one-off livery for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix weekend at Madring. The design appears on the cars of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon. It draws from the team's 1981 FW07C championship-winning car that raced at Jarama, the last time Formula 1 visited Madrid.[1]
The livery uses a white, green and navy blue colourway. It nods to the colours run by Alan Jones and Carlos Reutemann in 1981. The one-off scheme will feature throughout the weekend on the new part-street, part-purpose-built 22-turn circuit.[1]
Unveiling and context
The design was revealed during a Fan Zone appearance with Sainz in Madrid's Plaza De Callao on 8 September. Williams marks Formula 1's return to the Spanish capital with the tribute. The team last competed there 45 years earlier at Circuito de Jarama.[2]
