Honda will deliver its upgraded 2026 power unit to Aston Martin at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort after the summer break, with the team first introducing a chassis upgrade at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Honda Sets Engine Upgrade Date for Aston Martin
Honda has confirmed delivery of its upgraded 2026 power unit to Aston Martin for the Dutch Grand Prix in August.[1] The Japanese manufacturer will introduce the update at Zandvoort after the summer break.
Aston Martin is scheduled to receive a separate chassis upgrade at the Hungarian Grand Prix one race earlier.[2]
Honda trackside general manager Shintaro Orihara outlined the timeline in the team's Belgian Grand Prix preview at Spa, noting two races remained until the power unit upgrade.[3]
Staggered Development Approach
The upgrades arrive under the 2026 ADUO framework, which grants Honda additional development opportunities due to its current power unit ranking.[3]
