F1 drivers enjoy Goodwood, Wimbledon and Madring tests ahead of Belgian GP
Between the British and Belgian Grands Prix, F1 drivers attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed, watched Wimbledon including Jannik Sinner's final, and Ferrari tested at the new Madring circuit in Madrid. The activities filled the break after Silverstone ahead of the Spa-Francorchamps race.
Goodwood Festival of Speed draws multiple drivers
Several F1 drivers visited the Goodwood Festival of Speed between the British and Belgian Grands Prix.[1] Lando Norris drove a McLaren MCL60 up the hillclimb.[2] Other teams and drivers also participated in the event held from 9 to 12 July 2026.
Wimbledon appearances and Sinner final
Drivers including Esteban Ocon, Sergio Perez, George Russell and Pierre Gasly attended Wimbledon.[1] Kimi Antonelli met Jannik Sinner before the Italian won the final.[1]
Ferrari conducts Madring testing
Ferrari became the first F1 team to run at the new Madring circuit in Madrid.[1] The team released onboard footage from the session ahead of the September Spanish Grand Prix.
