Haas driver Esteban Ocon stated on media day ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix that he is a free agent for the 2027 season.[1] He noted ongoing discussions with multiple factors beyond his control and confirmed he is speaking with other teams.[1][2]
Ocon has scored three points this season compared to teammate Oliver Bearman on 18 points. Haas has not yet confirmed its 2027 lineup and has evaluated several drivers through its testing program.[2]
Outlook for 2027
Ocon emphasized his desire to remain in Formula 1 and said he is focused on delivering results for Haas until the end of the year.[1]
