Aston Martin Continues Development Push Toward Monza
Adrian Newey confirmed that the Hungary upgrade package represents only the first step in Aston Martin's 2026 development plan. Additional aerodynamic and chassis refinements are scheduled for Monza and Baku later in the season. The team aims to build on recent progress with further steps that target both high-speed and power-sensitive circuits.
Hungary Upgrade Sets the Baseline
Aston Martin introduced a major aerodynamic and weight-reduction package at the Hungarian Grand Prix.[1] The changes included a new nose, revised aerodynamic surfaces, and a lighter forward chassis that required fresh homologation and crash testing. Rear suspension received minor revisions while the front suspension and core chassis architecture stayed the same. Team principal Adrian Newey described the update as a large step yet emphasized it formed only the initial phase of a broader program.
