Red Bull Racing posted support for Max Verstappen's special helmet design ahead of the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. The post read: "A special helmet for a special race. Ready for one last charge around Zandvoort."[3]
The four-time champion unveiled a Delftware-inspired helmet and matching race suit for the event, described as his last home race. Verstappen posted on social media: "For my last home race. Dankjewel Zandvoort."[1]
Emotional farewell confirmed
Verstappen expressed a mix of sadness and pride over the Dutch Grand Prix ending after 2026. He told reporters the event would not continue, citing the one-year extension agreed for this season in sprint format.[2]
Zandvoort returns to the calendar for the final time this weekend. Organisers cited rising costs and funding issues as reasons the race drops off after 2026.[2]
