Singapore GP to host first Sprint weekend
The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix will run as a Sprint weekend for the first time. Sprint Qualifying is scheduled for Friday, the Sprint race and Grand Prix Qualifying for Saturday, and the main race on Sunday at Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Singapore to stage first Sprint in 2026
The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix will feature the Sprint format for the first time.[1] The weekend runs from 9 to 11 October at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Sprint Qualifying takes place on Friday after the single free practice session. The Sprint race and Grand Prix Qualifying follow on Saturday. The main Grand Prix concludes the event on Sunday.[2]
Singapore joins China, Miami, Canada, Britain and the Netherlands on the six-event Sprint calendar for 2026. Canada, the Netherlands and Singapore host their first Sprint weekends under the format.[1]
