More than half the grid faces contract decisions ahead of 2027
More than half the 2026 F1 grid holds contracts expiring at the end of this season or in 2027. McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari drivers feature prominently among those whose futures remain open, creating potential movement across multiple teams.
Contract landscape at Singapore
More than 50 percent of the 2026 grid holds deals that end after this season or in 2027. [1] McLaren secured Lando Norris through 2030 with an option for longer, while Oscar Piastri remains contracted until at least 2028. [1] Mercedes drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli both run through 2027. [3] Red Bull extended Max Verstappen to 2030 and confirmed Isack Hadjar for 2027. [1] Ferrari locked Charles Leclerc into a multi-year extension beyond 2027 and holds Lewis Hamilton through 2027. [2]
Broader grid picture
Additional seats at teams including Aston Martin, Williams, Alpine, Audi, Cadillac, Haas and Racing Bulls carry 2026 or 2027 expiry dates. [2] Several drivers at those squads therefore enter the market window that opens after the season. [2]
