Formula 1 confirms Flexjet as its Official Private Aviation Supplier

Formula 1 has announced a new multi-year global partnership with Flexjet, naming the fractional private-jet operator as the sport's Official Private Aviation Supplier. [1] The agreement was announced on 1 July 2026 and takes effect immediately ahead of the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix 2026 at Silverstone, with activations continuing across the remainder of the calendar, including Belgium and Hungary. [2]

What the partnership covers

Under the terms of the deal, Flexjet will provide fleet access for VIPs, executives, and championship personnel, supporting the logistical demands of a sport that spans 24 races across 21 countries. [1] Flexjet operates a global fleet of more than 340 private jets, including one of the world's largest collections of large-cabin aircraft. [2]

All flights conducted under the partnership will use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), contributing to Formula 1's broader programme to reduce emissions associated with business travel within the sport. [1] The arrangement also reinforces both organisations' stated commitment to advancing responsible mobility and operational efficiencies. [1]

The partnership extends beyond logistics. Flexjet's Red Label offering will be used to curate premium experiences for guests both in the air and on the ground at race weekends. [1] The two organisations will also collaborate on a dedicated digital content series exploring shared themes across aviation and motorsport, including engineering precision and high-performance design. [1]

Flexjet's position in private aviation

Flexjet is partly backed by LVMH and positions itself at the ultra-luxury end of the fractional jet market. [4] Flexjet chairman Kenn Ricci was quoted in the official press release describing the deal as "a natural alignment of two worlds in which both luxury aircraft and fast cars require absolute precision and flawless coordination to achieve success." [3]

:::analysis The timing of the announcement at Silverstone is consistent with F1's pattern of using its highest-profile European rounds as launch platforms for new commercial partnerships. Private aviation is a logical category for Formula 1 given the travel intensity of the championship calendar; locking in a single supplier relationship simplifies logistics for personnel who move between grands prix on tight turnarounds. The SAF component also fits the sport's published net-zero-by-2030 roadmap, where aviation has historically been identified as one of the larger sources of championship-related emissions. Whether SAF certificates (as opposed to direct onboard fuelling) satisfy critics of the sport's sustainability claims is a separate, longer debate. :::
