F1 Academy Expands 2026 Rookie Programme
F1 Academy returns its Rookie Test for 2026 and adds a new Rookie Training Camp with Loughborough University support. Eighteen selected female drivers complete off-track assessments from 25 to 27 August at the university before on-track testing at Circuito de Navarra from 8 to 10 September. The two-stage format aims to identify and develop future F1 Academy talent.
Programme Details
F1 Academy returns the Rookie Test for 2026 and introduces a Rookie Training Camp supported by Loughborough University.[1] The expanded format begins with a three-day off-track camp at the university from 25 to 27 August. Eighteen selected female drivers undergo physiological profiling, cognitive testing, and other assessments.[2]
The camp concludes with on-track Rookie Test sessions at Circuito de Navarra from 8 to 10 September. This two-stage structure builds on the 2025 test that featured 18 participants.[1]
