Demonstration laps confirmed at COTA
Four MotoGP bikes will complete demonstration laps at the Circuit of the Americas during the 2026 United States Grand Prix weekend.[1] The runs feature Dani Pedrosa on a KTM, Nicolo Bulega on a Ducati, Andrea Dovizioso on a Yamaha and Lorenzo Savadori on an Aprilia machine.[2]
The showcase takes place on Saturday 24 October from 11:40am to 12:00pm local time ahead of Free Practice 3. Bikes capable of speeds exceeding 225mph will provide F1 fans a rare view of two-wheel machinery on the Texas track.[2]
First crossover of its kind
The demonstration marks the first time MotoGP has appeared during an F1 Grand Prix weekend.[3] It occurs while the MotoGP championship races in Australia, so the four riders serve as ambassadors for the series.[3]
Fan activations in the COTA Fan Zone will display the motorcycles and allow closer access to the riders and bikes throughout the weekend.
