Baku schedule moves forward

The 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place on Saturday, September 26.[1] The entire weekend shifts one day earlier than originally planned to avoid a clash with Azerbaijan Remembrance Day on Sunday, September 27.[1] Formula 1 sessions run from Thursday through Saturday at the Baku City Circuit.[3]

Expanded F2 program

Formula 2 Round 12 adopts a supersized format as the sole support series.[2] The round includes one 45-minute free practice session, two consecutive 20-minute qualifying sessions on Thursday, one sprint race and the first feature race on Friday, plus a second feature race on Saturday morning before the grand prix.[2]

Official confirmation

The Formula 1 calendar lists the race for Saturday, September 26, at 11:00 local time.[3] The changes follow requests from the promoter and government stakeholders.[1]
