The road to F1
Zhou Guanyu is a Chinese driver who joined the new Cadillac team as reserve for its debut 2026 season, shortly after leaving a Ferrari reserve role. He started karting in China around age nine before moving to Europe, finished third in the 2021 Formula 2 championship, and in 2022 became China's first full-time Formula 1 race driver, competing with Alfa Romeo and Sauber through 2024. As Cadillac's superlicence-holding stand-in he is the team's ready substitute.
